I dont see your logic or methood.
I never said you don't push it hard ENOUGH. However far YOU choose to push it is hard ENOUGH. I just don't see how your EGT's don't get above 1200 unless you don't go WOT or you have never towed a decent amount of weight. It really is nothing to get upset about.

I rarely see over 1200 with my Jr, I have to either be really lugging it at altitude on a hot day, or working it above 2500rpm up a big hill on a hot day... The Jr just does a good job, so I could see how conservative towing could make 1200* your max..

What do you see with your Jr?

10K lb. 5er thru the 'hills' in central Teaxs I see about 1350 & that's being easy on it w/jr. on SW2. When my RPM's are up, it stays cool. When the TC is locked & lugging is when it gets hot.

1400* plus a little pulling 20K loaded trailer on a 6% grade for about a 10 minute total in 101* ambient air temperature in 5th gear at 65mph.

That sounds to me like your either on TM3 or TM1 with Jr Revo, or your pyro isn't working properly... When my dad tows 10K from Washington to Montana and back down into Idaho (Lots of Rocky Mountain Passes) he doesn't even get up to 1350*.

No problem.. If you were running 3 or 1 you will be surprised at the drop with 2 or 4 (4 is the biggest drop, but the smokiest)
