High Ram intake
 

who is running one, notice any real difference. i am thinking hard about one basically just think they look cool but if do as advertized would help feeding air for future mods.

I think that's the main reason people put one on. Once you start getting into the high hp stuff, that's when you'll notice a difference - but still not much of a difference from what I have read. There's a member that is making some that also have 4 plugs for adding accessories to it. You might talk to some of the sponsors & see what they have to offer.

I have one because my 05 had a plastic intercooler so I picked up a technicooler. If I were going to buy an aftermarket intake it would be the ATS. I just can't get over the thoughts that I have Banks part on my truck. LOL

I have the Banks High ram. You will notice fast spool up of turbo and some power increase on the top end. When you take off your old horn and compare it to the banks you will see how restricted the stock horn is. So if you like the look of it. Buy one. But if you are looking for a mod that will give you some increased power right away. Buy something else like a cold air intake. You will notice power increase and they look cool. I like my racers edge.

Very colorful under my hood

In my honest opinion it's all for looks... For the REAL horsepower guy who need it, it doesn't even have ports to inject. The best thing you can do to one is what AK RAM did.... Let me dig up a picture.

that banks red looks good next to the cummins logo. a picture is worh a thousand words i am sold. i do not think it is priced any higher than the others, i just take their salesman like all aothers, with a grain of salt.

AK RAM, I didn't think you would mind if I used a picture from under your hood. One of the nicest pictures out there IMO.

I am going to go with the CFM intake. Seems to allow the most airflow and looks cool!! [coffee]

Ya... Im almost embarrased to pop the hood for guys to look at. I always warn them that ITS VERY DIRTY!

I guess they are thinking its going to look like a big block chromed out with a blower:confused:

You mean, you don't have one of those under your hood ? [laugh]

if you really want one, get a ATS. why? becuase they come pre-drilled and tapped for water/meth if you want to do that later and they arent banks!!!

Trust me I am one of the few Banks guys on this site. But I would recomend getting an Airbox first. You are still limited to your stock airflow coming in. Why upgrade the horn first. Get an Airbox!!!!! Trust me I own the Banks High ram. It will do nothing with out first allowing more air in.
