High psi on stock turbo?!

Well after beta testing the Quadzilla Boost Fooler stacked with Crazy Larry, I was running 48psi daily on a stock turbo. ran that way for a while...then went to Smarty/Boost Fooler for 2 weeks running just that high of psi...then HOT Juice at 41-44psi for while...and the Boost Fooler/Crazy Larry stack again in the 40's....

replaced turbo with a SPS 6280 (62/14) from II.....stock turbo looked good! no play, all looked and felt very good.

So if you are worried about too much boost around 40, don't. I was over 40psi for 7 months for 25,000 miles....No problems to speak of!

Just a heads up....Happy New Year DTR!

I put the suncoast on mine, it seems to be very strong. I know that Mike Drever is in the 10's with the same flexplate

Ive been runnin 44 lbs for a long time on my truck as well, the only reason I havent ordered my turbo yet is cause it will do me no good till I get a clutch to put it to the ground and the one I want is not available yet.

Kevin, I was/am set on an HTT cause of the price and reputation and upgradability but if you dont hush about that dang 6280 I may just have to give on a try. Sounds like you are really enjoyin that turbo.

48 psi on the stock charger, done it. remember above 26-30 psi it is super heating the aircharge so less molecules are there. also to acheive this we are spinning the turbo at ungodly speeds which will sooner or later kill it. customer service is best with htt.

I am another that runs 45 psi on a stocker almost daily also. Been running it for probably 60,000 miles. With no problems. I also see high EGT's gauge has hit 1600 many times.
