Help me select my tranny mods please!!!

Hey guys,

I think I need trans mods. I am thinking TC and VB. My mods are in the sig, and I plan on doing some towing. Yes I have 3.73s and 37s, and will eventually go to 4.10s or steeper, but not for now.

Truck has 10,000 miles.

I was looking at some of the ATS stuff, its not cheap, but looks ok.

What about their tranny controler (ATS). With just a TC/VB mod, when would my tc lock up and when not?

What slip converter should I get for my application. 89%? What is stock (it stalls pretty high I think)?

I want to be able to use my Edge on level 4 and 5 sometimes. But I do tow fairly often, not too heavy, but 5000lbs+ sometimes.

Their exhaust brake looks good too....$$$$

Thanks guys.

I like my dtt VB. It's holding 371 abusive horses quite nicely on my otherwise stock 47re. I've heard some very bad things on the ATS stuff. I'd go with the 89%. It should stall around 1600 rpm and be nice and tight but not so tight as to the point it will make the truck sluggish off the line with a trailer.

Thanks,

Right now, with the stock converter and tranny, and even with no power mods, the thing is kinda doggy UNLESS locked up. I think the converter just stalls to 2000+ no problem, which is too much for a diesel. The 3.73s DO NOT help, but, it climbs hills way easier when locked up, even in OD, then when unlocked.

Even when the truck was stock with stock tires, it was not impressive at all.

I know the feeling. I hate my stock auto. I drove 2 different DTT equipped trucks and it was a HUGE difference. One day.......
