For The Guys W/ Sirius....

Just A Quick Question About The Fm Antenna Wire....where Is It? Has Any Installed The Direct Fm Connector? I Have Been Getting Horrible Reception W/ My New Sporster Radio And Have Been Reading Great Things About This Item......have You Installed This?...any Input Would Be Greatly Appreciated....

I have the serious stratus and had horrible reception at first using the built in fm transmitter. I went to circuit city and bought the direct FM modulator and have crisp clear sound now! To hook it up you disconnect the antenna cable from the back of youre radio and plug it into the box that came with the FM modulator. There is another antenna cable on the modulator that plugs back into the antenna slot on the back of youre radio. Then theres one last wire that connects youre sirius dock which holds youre sirius radio. Good luck and hope you get it figured out! You will be very satisfied once you do! :)

i have used it with the FM antana and it works pretty good, i have it just hooked thru my AUX now and it works great (the sportster 4)

I have the FM modulator on mine and it works great, no more constantly hunting for a station that will work. I did have some interference once, but it was from a really strong radio station. It cost about $30 and was well worth it.

I had it hooked up to the aux input in my old truck, but the stereo in this one doesnt have the input.

I did the fm modulator also, and simply hid the antena wire through the dash and out the driver door and into the weather stripping along the windsheild so I didnt have to drill a hole in my roof.

Just did it yesterday due to the same interference problem. Bought the sirius fm direct adapter yesterday and it went it in about 10 minutes, and cost $20. Mine is an 03 so when I pulled the deck I thought I needed to get some antenna adapters ... but found another thread on here where I discovered that there is a set of antenna jacks behind the passenger side kick panel. Ripped her out, plugged it in and ran the wires behind the glove box after I pulled it out. Hid the extra 15' of wire back there and now perfect!! I have the stiletto model. Wish I had done it before.

Just had mine done yesterday and was advised to install the fm modulater, which was about 39.00 and my reception is great so far.

For a cheap quick fix, if you have a tape deck you can get a cassete adapter and plug it in to headphone jack on your sat radio. The sound is good and no static ever. The downside is you have wire showing.
