Cool got MBRP muffler and tip, no directions??

Was wondering if anyone had any pics of an 06 with the replacement muffler from MBRP?? Got home a little bit ago and was sitting on my porch, opened up and no directions, and i can't see by looking at it quickly how the h*ll it is supposed to work with the stock hangers, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated as i know alot of you have already done this mod, gonna try to do it tomorrow. Thanks, this is a great website.

I can not help you with the tip but the muffler goes with the "openings" towards the back of the truck. Once you get under there it will be easy to see which way to put the mufler based on the hangers. I hope that this helps.

I did the MK96116 muffler on my 05, Hope these pics might be of some help...

New muffler

Another shot of new muffler

Old muffler what it looks like after it's been cut

Roughly 5.5" cut off in front of muffler (toward turbo)

Roughly 9" cut on the tailpipe side. With this cut I had to cut a couple inches off of the "S" pipe for it to fit. I could of cut more off of the tailpipe but didn't.

Hope these make sense, at least something to go by when your under there trying to find out where to make the first cut...

Eric

Ohh ooo, I installed mine with the "openings" forward. Thought they were supposed to 'catch' the exhaust flow. So do I have it on backwards?? It sounds good. Maybe thats why when I put the truck in drive it actually goes backwards

The exhaust is supposed to flow over the bumps... not into them

Thanks again for info, took the pics with me and just happened to stop by a local muffler shop and they said they would do it for $40 bucks so i said get her done, took them about 30 minutes. Heck of alot easier when you can put it up in the air and walk around under it, money well spent if you ask me. Sounds good, a little louder in the cab than expected when you get after it however.

honda_guy4,

The majority of the MBRP performance replacement mufflers we sell end up at a muffler shop as the price to do it is so low it's just waaay to easy to sit there and have a coke and drive away with it done!! Enjoy it!
