It wasn't cost effective for Richard to continue making the current bars. A big reason too is, he gets a lot of requests for single bars because of the doubles being too stiff.

So, he's in the works on some new single bars he's beta-ing on his truck. He says it may be about a month before they're ready. I think the dood knows what he's doing and in talking to him have found he's in touch with the 4x4 crowd, racing crowd and pulling crowd in hopes of designing a set up that works right.

I may get to try out one of the first sets so, I'll be able to give some feedback on them. One thing I prefer is something that bolts on without welding or drilling. It may not be possible though to get the correct performance out of them.

I've talked to him about the new ones. They sound like they will be very refined and he told me they are just about ready. He makes good quality products, and is a very easy person to deal with. When they come out I'll order a pair of them up. I bet they will perform exactly as he says they will. He has put a lot of time into developing the new ones.

They gonna be more like the caltracs? short? I heard over at comp d the drag crowd over there says the spring clamps work better than bars. They say all bars will put to much force down on the rear.

http://www.lazarsmith.com/tractionbars.html Here is another option. Mike (member XLR8R here) is great to work with too (like Richard). He is the owner of Lazarsmith and builds a great set of traction bars. I haven't "raced" or "pulled" with mine yet but they feel awesome and will definately prevent axle wrap.
