What turbo should i get? Hate my s363!
Hello there so, back story, I bought an s363 from a friend and got an ATS 2 piece t4 flange manifold to try and get rid of my high egts. Well i got it all on and needless to say, i was not impressed, it is laggy as all get out. I have stock injectors (i think, lots of smoke but ive never been into the motor, I bought it used) and an edge juice with attitude. I was hoping the s363 would clean up the smoke and add some decent power and while it adds just a little on the high rpm range it has nothing below 1800 rpms. So I've been dealing with it for close to a year now and am ready for a change. Now the s363 may be a little bit much in size for the upgrades so maybe i need to bring it back down, like an Aurora 3000, Holset chettah or even a super B, any thoughts would be appreciated. Also thoughts on t4 manifold to t3 adapter and problems. Sorry for the long post any assistance would be appreciated.

I have no other experience than my Tater 62/65. But it has been very good. Great spool for daily driving. Im running slightly larger injectors and on my highest tune, I cant get it to break 1450, where before I could literally peg it at 1600 with stock injectors. My truck has been a pleasure to drive, never a chore. Thats what I wanted - clean good power. I still want to get a compound setup in the future, but it'll hold its own as is.

Sorry I missed your question. Right now I can hit 35 and then the waste regulates its back to 30. It will hold it pretty steady when I ask it to. I think the turbo can do more (tater told me about 45 is its limit), but I need to put in an elbow to trick it. Its been doing so good for my commutes that I haven't taken the time to play with it. The turbo puts out about 6-7psi at a 60mph cruise and when I ask it go - there is virtually zero delay. Been very pleased with the performance.

Also a what are you using for tuning? The extreme smokiness can be dialed back until boost is up to speed. Maybe a little timing advance to reduce lag as well.
