Here it what I did with my gauges. Use black RTV silicone. It's best to run the wires, mount the pod then insert the gauges. It's a long story but trust me .

Ok I have an idea for what I would like to do for a gauge setup using universal gauge cups.

Something along these lines...

Right along the molding above the factory gauges...

I thought maybe I could use gauge cups like these from dieselmanor.com...

Does anyone recommend a certain universal gauge cup that I should use? Also, everyone please voice their opinions about this setup, pros and cons.

Look in my pix and what I have is autometers which carry the white face also. I wanted a diff. color so my eyes would catch them easier. I don't get any type of eye tricks off these guages like I've gotten with white gauges (for me). You can get them at jegs or summit under autometer, of cource.

I don't see any problem using the cups other than a lot of holes that may cause stress cracks in the future.

Does anyone know if these GlowShift mounting cups are any good?

I've got the 3 pod on the dash mount as well. Nice and out of the way, yet still easily viewable (plus a clipboard slides nicely between it and the window). I had the 3 on the A pillar and I did not like them there (neither did wifey, said it looked weird). Its more stealthy this way as well, plus my friends like to watch the turbo boost and egts move around.

here is the lazarsmith plate installed. Still need to get the tranny gauge installed but waiting for the mag pan first. still retains the factory grab handle.
