Fuel leak since Airdog 100 install at filter canister.

I just wanted to know if there is supposed to be an oring on the banjo bolt going into the adapter plate of of the fuel filter canister. I know there is supposed to be one. Is it supposed to be between the adaptor plate and canister or on the banjo bolt to the adapter plate? That is where my leak is. Airdog has been on the truck for over 2 months and now it is leaking. Dang aggrivating.... I hate redo work.

you ran yours to the factory fuel filter canister? You are supposed to plumb it directly to the cp3

Yeap, I wanted to keep the fuel heater, the non-working WIF light, and the extra filter. Works fine. except for the darn leak....LOL

The fitting for the CP3 fits on the adaptor plate (retro fit kit part) where my old LP was before I got the intank unit.

OK, on the retrofit piece, there should be a small oring that seals it to the back of the fuel filter canister. Then, where the 12mm to -8 fitting is for the air dog system, there should be another rubber oring washer to seal it to the retrofit adapter. Do you have both?

i had the same problem with my fass. the o"ring and the adapter plate would leak at the fuel canister.. replaced o"ring,etc-would always start leaking again. i solved the problem by buying a 2nd gen fuel bowl canister. i fabbed up a mounting plate and installed it. on the back of the 2nd gen fuel bowl canisters-there are threads for a fitting-unlike the 3rd gen's. solved my problem. new canister cost me 80.00 bucks at cummins,

Be very careful installing the adapter into the fuel filter canister. It's very easy to nick the o-ring during installation and can start leaking. Always lube the o-ring with silicone grease before installing.

Well, I got it squared away. The adaptor was bottoming out because the o-ring/washer was not thick enough. Of coarse I am not putting it where it was designed to go so, Oh well. I just added one o-ring washer from the original bajo bolt assembly. The adaptor now has enough pressure to squish out the o-ring washer. Moding stuff is always a pain some where down the line. I'll see how this holds up.

Can anyone please post a pic of this AD adapter? I maybe doing the same setup and someone said they have one, but I don't know what it looks like.

3+ months later, is the o-ring leak "fix" working - no more leaks?
