Freight liner 22.5s on 2WD Dually please help!
Hey guys! I'm new to the forum, I've been searching for the last few days to get a straight answer before I posted but I just can't seem to find it. I have a 2003 Ram 3500 2WD 6 speed. I just picked up some Freight Liner 22.5s with tires that I got for FREE from a good friend of mine before he traded his truck in. I know the ride quality isn't the best with the 255/70/22.5 tires but I love the look and deff would like to put them on. I know I need the 2.5" leveling kit for sure since its a 2WD but my main concern is about the rear. I don't pull heavy, but I do trailer my 28ft enclosed trailer to the track with my race car. No more than 8-9klbs tops fully loaded. I do have a weight distribution hitch/ bars. Do I deffinetly need to put air bags in the rear or can I get away without it? Anymore input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you guys!

I personally would not put them on, we have some hirail trucks at the railroad that have 19.5 and they ride like a wagon, the steering is awfu,l the front end feels like they are going to fall out. The wheels and tires are alot of rolling weight and it reaks havoc on the brakes and everything else. just my opinion
I have had 22.5's on my 2004 2wd since 2007. All I did was put the leveling kit on the front. The rear is stock and it sits very level and rides nice. I pull a 24 foot enclosed trailer to haul my street rod. I am only towing about 6000 pounds. See pics in my gallery.
