The Question is what size tire can I step up to with out a lift kit on my 2004 3500 4x4 diesel ?

 

You can run up to a 315, but w/ articulation or a tight turn you may get some rubbing. -Steve

 

....and the BFG 315/70R17 All Terrains really look good. Big enough to fill up the wheel wells, but not to big.

Some trucks seem to rub a little with 315's and others do not. I guess it depends on how much off-roading you do. I am off of the pavement quite a bit and like the 285/70 tires. I do not want to add the level kit to my truck. I think it looks good however, I do not want to mess with it or get that big of tires.

I really like the look of the 285's with no lift...IMHO.

Thanks for the info. I guess I can just add a front spring coil spacer and level up the front with the rear or I could add a 4 or 5 or even a 6 inch lift. I beleave www.tuffcountry.com has these in stock.
