firestone airbag valve placement

Where is a good location to mount the air fill valves for air bags? Have a slide in camper so by the rear license plate isn't a good spot. Has anybody placed them inside the fuel door?

Many guys have done used the space inside the fuel door. I had just an 8.5 camper when I installed mine so I went with the back bumper. Now that I have a 9.5 with overhang, moving them is on the to do list.

If you have a factory hitch you can use the two holes already there to mount the valve stems. The holes are positioned on each side of the receiver and work great...no drilling either.

There is a pre-existing hole in the wheel well that I drilled just a hair bigger and routed the hoses and valve stems to each wheel well. That way I can air up the tires and airbags from the same place. If you want, after work I can take a pic and show you where I put them.

Here's one of the holes I was talking about (this was taken before I put the valve stems there)...

There's one on each side and they are just about the right size. The locking pin I use comes kinda close, but I can still get in there with a gauge and hose to adjust them.

Thanks guys for all the suggestions, I have a 9.5 foot camper so it hangs over the back a foot and a half so valves on the rear dont work good when the camper is on. Anybody have any pictures of the fuel door valve placement? Will this work on a 2006? As for the wheel well placement I have the inner fender liners so you dont see any holes.
