A few twins questions...boost fooler, RP etc
A few twins questions...boost fooler, RP etc
I am going to be installing twins on my 07 in less than a month. I was doing some research, but just want to ask here. Do I need a boost fooler when running twins? If so, which one? I will prob keep the boost south of 50psi since studs will not be installed right away.
Currently, I am only running the smarty revo and I do not plan on stacking anything. Should I install a RP gauge? I will be installing an AD 150 when the twins go on but not installing sticks or modding the cp3.
This is my list, please let me know know if you think I should add anything.
Twins kit: he351 and S472
AD 150
Boost fooler - most likely
and???
I just want to make sure I can utilize the twins properly without throwing codes or anything like that.
Thank you,
Paul

I have a Quad boost fooler on my 05. The only reason it's there is to keep the CEL from coming on. I have run the truck at the track both with it and without it, and there isn't any change.
At 50psi, you will be right at the border where you will set a code. My suggestion is to try it without a boost fooler, and if you don't set any codes, then you are good to go. My truck doesn't seem to set a code until about 70psi. I have heard others setting codes as low as 48psi.
A rail pressure guage is nice for trouble shooting. With a stock CP3, it is possible to drain the fuel rail, and a gauge will help trouble shoot. When you go all out in performance, a rail pressure gauge is a must.
Hope this helps.
