stock lift pump will fail. My 04.5 lost one @ 7K miles and the second one was dying by 22K miles. No issues at all w/ my Air Dog, heard good things about the FASS too.

I'll stick with my two Holley pumps hanging underneath. Cheap and easy to install and I had them laying around the shop. Been over two years now and still a solid 13-14 psi without issue. But if you're not technically inclined or just want to write a check and have someone else do the work, AirDog's are right up there on the list from what I see written here.

I have a fass and no complaints except for noise.
I had a walbro setup and was very pleased with it. If you are not looking for uber HP, that was a nice setup and another consideration.

I have a FASS 95gph pump only, it has failed once, down time due to shipping was not what I call acceptable. But they fixed it.
Honestly I am on the fence on installing an aftermarket pump. Unless you have a great dealer next to you who will loan you a pump in the event yours does need to get fixed.
What I highly recommend if you do is buy a used in tank fuel pump module with a working pump. Install a FASS or Airdog but leave the oem pump hooked up just pull the fuze. Then if your Aftermarket pump fails you can at least get around on the OEM pump till warrenty takes care of the problem.
Leasson learned and lesson passed on to others.
As great as FASS, and Airdog are they can fail and getting a replacement usually means more then a few days due to shipping.

Have the FASS on my 01. 6 years and 175K with no problems. Do carry a spare set of brushes on others advise, but have still not used them. About to put same on the 06

I would do something. If you're not looking for huge power and want great filtration then look at the FASS Platinum, it's smaller but has better out of the box filtering than any other filtered setup and is only dollars more than a pump alone.

Another vote for the AD165 ! Nice kit, easy install, no 1/4 tank issues. You can run better filters on it if you dont like the AD filters that come in the box. I really like their 1/2" draw straw kit !
