F1 Springs/Stock cam

F1 says there Pro/Sportsman valve springs were designed for the Helix 2 and 3 cams. Can they be used with the stock cam? I would like stiffer springs for higher rpm fueling. If not, what spring options are there. Is it even worth it or are the stockers o.k. for the occasional high rpm run?

I think I read somewhere that the stock springs are good to around 3500 rpm.

Thanks. I think I'm gonna stick with the stock springs for now. And try not to get carried away with the high rpms......

Umm. A little birdie told me that they are too stiff and that it will wear the cam.

We have had no issues with F1 Springs on a stock cam. Several trucks running that way over a year. Tim

THe rpm's is not the only thing hindering the stock springs so to say. Also look at what boost numbers/airflow you have. It is also possible that the stock springs could be getting forced open a little and letting air go by. Thats one more thing to think about.

I don't push my motor anywhere near 3,500 rpms. It would just be a precautionary measure. I'll be in there doing studs anyways so I am just trying to kill 2 birds with 1 stone.
