Exhaust Question

Hey dudes just picked up a 07 2500 w/ 6.7....what kinda exhaust you recommend? I was looking at a Volant system...And how many of you are running w/ no cats?

Are you talking about air intakes? Don't know much about Volant . . . a lot of guys build their own intakes or go with an AFE, Airaid, etc.

There are a lot of guys that run without the cat - although it probably varies quite a bit depending on where you live and if there are emissions requirements/testing in your location.

I think the 6.7 is a different creature.... I crawled under there and saw at least 3 wires attached to the exhaust. If you are looking to not void your warranty, then be careful... Maybe feel out whatever dealership you bought from because some are mod friendly, some are not... For instance, I heard that some of the oiled filter elements (IE, K&N) have allowed bigger particulates or have actually started to fall apart into the turbo causing eroding, and DC will not honor the warranty... As for removing your cat, while most will overlook it, it is against some sort of federal law. So on the worst day you could get tagged with a huge fine if, for some miraculous reason, someone who cared was looking....

its going to be a little while to there is a good selection of aftermarket exhausts available for the 6.7...
