how about replacing all the rockers with hydraulic pump assemblies [12 single piston pump on a common accumulator rail] and applying hydraulic actuators to the valve bridge assemblies with a custom cradle to hold it all in... then some custom ecm to control the actuators like HEUI injectors to control the valves... custom control over lift and duration and timing... and the option of a real compression release brake...
that is something that could be made to work... if you had the money and skill to do it [i am guessing like $50k to make that work...?]
