Exhaust Brake Installed
Couple of weeks ago I installed a PacBrake Exh/Brake. It only took a couple of hours and worked flawlessly. No hitches or glitches. Straight bolt on. Last year I had an 03 3500 HO with the 48re auto. I towed my 37' triple slide 5th wheel over Newfound Gap in the Smokies, and had several issues with a 'hot' tranny and 'hot' brakes, coming and going over the hump. And again in the western mountains on the long grades, it was hell on brakes. I've been towing comercially as a transporter, (RV's and such), and I figured I be better off in the long run to trade the auto. This truck even though it's a 4x4, I have the 3.73 Diff (thankfully), same as the 03, but it has 'way more' power. I tried the new E/Brake on Eagle Mountain (I-24), with the "new" truck and 6spd manual. Worked like a charm. No worries mate.
