Pacbrake brake kit
So I haven't been on here for a while but just purchased a new 5th wheel camper and am thinking about an exhaust brake. I have Pacbrake airbags but fill them with an external compressor. I was thinking about a pakbrake exhaust brake and system to keep monitor and keep them airbags inflated.
So what is the consensus on this verses the Auto Gear brake.
Also where is the best place to get these. I thought this site offered discounts on Pacbrake components but I cannot remember how to get to them.....
On a totally different note, I have an automatic transmission and when pulling heavy loads the truck sort of shudders when shifting into overdrive.... Any thoughts on this? I imagine the 5th wheel will cause this to happen also.
Thanks in advance for the info.

FWIW... The Pac inline on my 03 6 spd always worked great. Tomorrow should be a good day for sales. I think 10% off is the norm for holidays. I don't know what the site vendors do. Craig

I installed a PacBrake PRXB in 2006, worked great for about 4 years until the pump failed. I contacted PacBrake and installed the first version of the pump upgrade kit to upgrade the faulty HP 275 to an HP 325. That pump worked great until mid december of this year when the air solenoid failed, which killed the pump as well. Now it's back to pacbrake for airpump number 3. I could have ordered just the HP 325 pump but, the new kit uses an upgraded bracket so, it's back to the manufacturer for a gen 2 upgrade kit at $330.
It's a good kit, easy to install but, not too excited about the longevity of the pumps.
