Right now I have 4" stright exhaust no muffler or cat and its way to loud!, I want to put a 24" or 30" Magnaflow muffler on, but I dont know where to put it, as far foward or towards the back, any help would be greatful thanks.

I would put it towards the back, that way you can use the stock hangers to hold up the muffler.

I have the same setup but I left the cat on, and its NOT to loud for my taste, I want louder, does taking the cat off make a much bigger difference or only slightly? Let me know if you have a sound clip of your truck.

run a bullit muffler for a tip. or just before the hump over the rearend. the further back the better, if you run it forward the pulse hits the muffling device then travels out through the rest of the pipe so it don't do much for sound, just backpressure, if its placed further back the tone/pulse is muffled then released almost right away.

i don't have any muffling device, the more flow the better, 4" to 5"
