Looking for recommendations on an all in one engine monitor that will display EGT. I don't need it to be able to program or tune. I have a 2006 5.9 and a Smarty JR and want to start tuning UDCs so I figure I need to be able to monitor firtnand foremost. The less expensive the better but all options are on the table. Does the 06 have a factory EGT that will display on one of these things? Or is it a post turbo deal? I don't mind buying an EGT probe as long as the monitor will read it.

If it has data log capability, even better.

Smarty JR doesn't allow custom programming, just choices from the three provided tunes and their variations. Still, knowing EGT, and Boost are good things.

I don't believe the '06 has EGT in the ECU (the '05 does not) so you'll need a probe in the exhaust (mine is in the exhaust manifold). Boost data is provided in the ECU, but since the Smarty provides a boost fooler, you don't get true boost readings from the ECU at above about 20 PSI or so. So, you need a boost bolt in the intake manifold.

I have boost, EGT, and trans temp gauges in a pod under the rear view mirror.

I have the Edge Insight CS some don't like the small screen but I don't have any issues seeing it, I do have the add on EGT probe. Mine works great and didn't break the back, my truck's tach recently broke, but I've got RPMs right on the monitor.
