Edge juice w/attitude, disconnect when downloading smarty?

I have been disconnecting my edge every time I download a new program with smarty and it is a pain in the you know what, does anyone else do this or would it be ok if I just downloaded with it still hooked up? Maybe Bob or Marco could answer

I had the Juice on mine for quite a while waiting to install my analog gauges. I constantly changed programs and never disconnected it. It might be a good security thing but I never had the time to deal with it. Probably loaded/unloaded 50 times before I pulled my Juice/Attitude out. Never had a problem.

Nope I ran them at the same time even. It just didnt gain me anything when the edge was on or off. Other than that it was fine

I was just worried about frying the computer on the edge, thats why I unhooked it, I just use the edge for guages, and heard that you could fry the computer if you dont unhook it to download other programs,

The downloaders do just that. DL into your computer. The module is reading after the truck is running and atatched between the various sensors so I dont think they could possibly affect each other.
