A2 not supposed to be out until June. Spike tv's trucks show will have a special on the new A2 monitor in march not sure exact date. As for pricing the rumors I have heard put it in the 1600-1900.00 price range so start saving now

WOW! I don't think too many of us will be in line for that. Rather get a new trans for that price

When I talked to Edge earlier this week the guy said:
1- The Juice for 03 & 04's are still 2 months out
2- Projected price for A2 is $1000 to $1,200. Backup camera is another $250

I plan on installing my Juice/Attitude this weekend, then I am probably going to the track on the 27th. I will let you know if I still have a functioning 48RE after that.

If you factor in the gauges, GPS navigation, virutal dyno and G-tech type feature, that price really isn't that bad IMO.

I watched the special on TRUCKS today. Before watching that, I would have gone with the Outlook and Power Pup (and either factory, or aftermarket navigation). If this thing comes in under $1200 retail, it will be cheaper to buy this. And you get similar power numbers, plus tranny slip protection. I was completely drooling watching that show today.

I think for a large part of the market (not the hardcore types) this will sell pretty well.

I installed mine today, posted on another thread here. I definitely can make the 48RE slip on level 5. Just have to see how much abuse it will take and how well the Attitude trans slip backoff works.

You are right.

After thinking about the GPS feature it may be worth the money. I would still loose the price of the Attitude at least. I have been pricing Auto/Portable GPS units for the last month and good ones are $500-$1000. If the A2 has that level of GPS functionality then it might make sense and be a value.

I didnt see any features related to the Juice monitoring and performance that was differnet on the A2 from the Attidute, but I might be wrong.

What is the A2? I can guess, but where are you finding out what it has on it, the edge website is void of A2 info?

On the TRUCKS episode, they showed it speaking directions out, with a full map display, with arrows and distance to turn. It also automatically recalculated the route if you missed a turn, etc. VERY similar to high end navigation systems.

I have to set the vcr to record the program tomorrow, I'll be on the road all day.

I guess I will wait on GPS until it is out and have real world experience information.

thanks,
