I was just wondering if there is any other modifications you have to do before installing this. And is it going to be really hard one the tranny and engine? And how many of you have tried this on your CTD's, and how do you like them? What should i expect for fuel milage on different levels. Thanks Tyler

 

install was very easy. only issue I had was no 90 degree drill so I had to drill at a bit of an angle to get the pyro where they show it located. I just drilled a pilot hole with a smaller bit as there was no way to start a 5/16 hole at the angle.

level 5 will most likely be too much for the tranny. If you want to safely run that you will need some upgrade.

I get really no milage loss at level 3. I don't go above that right now for log periods of time so I can't coment on milage at level 4 and 5 as I have never run a full tank through at those power levels. I don't think there is much if any milage gain but as long as you use the same about of throttle as you did before I have not seen a milage loss either. now if I stay on level 1 and just baby the truck I think there is about .5mpg gain. there is really not fun in that though unless you are just long trip down the interstate so I leave it in level 3 most of the time.
