Does anyone know what the Limited data available on '96-'07, 5.9L trucks is?


I am looking for a programmer and leaning towards the cts2 mostly because I want the additional gauges available. I want the fuel rail pressure, I have pillar Boost, Pyro and Trans Temp already.

It would help if we knew what year truck you had, I'm sure their is a member out there with the same year and a CTS that could advise.
I had a CTS on my 06 and it read rail pressure.

I recently installed the CTS2 Monitor on my 04.5 CTD. It's true that not all data are provided. There are quite a few available ... more than I can recall. EGT requires a separate pyro sensor. Trans temp comes from the OEM sensor via the OBDII port. My gauge layout has 3 large displays and a few other smaller ones. I have ECT (engine coolant temp), EGT (exhaust gas temp) and TFT (trans fluid temp) in the larger gauges. I have boost in one of the smaller displays along with RPM and some other less meaningful (to me) data. When I get time to go out to my truck, I will get a list of the available data items and post on this thread. So far, the gauge seems to work well. However, it has stuck a couple of times (once all OBDII readings were zeroes and other times it wouldn't shut off even after the timeout). In both cases, it required that I unplug/plug the cable back into the OBDII port to reboot the device. My original plan was to just use it for towing. But, it would be nice to keep it in to monitor cool down for the turbo.

I was disappointed it doesn't have Engine Oil Pressure. Again, this is for the 2004.5 model year. Other model years probably have different options.

RyeThomas Yeah I need to add my truck to my signature so it is there, just haven't done it yet, I kind of thought everybody would assume I had a 06-07 5.9 from the post title
