Edge and amount of boost

Do know what I did. Posted this and it showed in the 2nd gen forum, not the 3rd gen. So doing a repost here.

Newly installed Edge....what is the amount of boost I should see.

WOT 41lbs boost, let off just a little it will drop, but will hang there if you keep your foot in it. and...that's level 4. Have tried 5, but haven't done a WOT run, since I'm a little concerened with that amount of boost, or should I say I was not expecting that much. Also...that reading is from the Attitude, not a separate guage. Will the Attitude reading NOT read after a certain amount of boost? Can't tell you about the EGT, haven't installed the pyro yet.

It's an 06 and other than the Edge, stock dually. BTW, the Edge is NOT coming off, just hope the clutch will hold.

set your max boost to 38 lbs or something like that on the attitude and it should not let you go past that.

I get 42 lbs on level 5 WOT, but I think you should get your pyro in before you run it more.

I have seen 44lbs at WOT several times. I also have analog gauges and it is right there with the Attitude monitor. Oh yeah, I had the boost set at a maximum of 38lbs. I turned it down to 36lbs and it made no difference in my peak boost pressures. Like mentioned before I think you need to install the pyro before you do any hard runs on 4 or 5, I can hit 1350* really quick.

The edge will only read a max of 41 psi. But if you are running a stock turbo you dont really want to see more than that. You can see more at times, but it isnt good for the turbo, or really effecient

The max boost is already set to 38, and will flash at that point.

How...or is there a way to control this a bit? The truck runs quite well with the Edge, but it also gets to this boost level almost immediately....to the point that I think there could be a problem.

There is a boost defuel and a boost alert. Make sure they are both set to 38. It sounds normal. I can hit 38lbs+ on long WOT runs on level 3 and not even WOT on level 5.

I hit 41-42 all the time on level 3. If I set it to defuel at say 38 I can tell a difference in power. I leave it set at 42 to defuel and 41 for the alert.
