Please make this happen the best combo out there would be a 5.9 with a 6spd auto!!! I think no one will really be able to know until the 6.7 has been out for a while and guys can really get a good look at the new auto. I would much rather get a new auto and build it up instead of throwing money at the 48re... I hope someone can make it work!

It can be done.... anything can be done, you just need a good machinist, and a trans controller.

There is a guy over on the TDR site that has installed/is installing an Allison 1000 5 speed tranny in his CTD. I am working on the same, but I am using a six speed Allison 1000 out of a wrecked '06 GMC. I haven't subscribed to the TDR, so I can't read all of his posts to see if it worked. As soon as I get back stateside though, I will subscribe and see what kind of hurdles he had to clear.

All the tranny builders out there should just stop building the 4spds and sell the new 6. I mean why not? A 5 star ATS, DTT or whatever would be SO much better! Is it because they need a doner?
