dually guys w/oversize tire's in here please
 

looking at getting some tires in the next month and wanted some 285's ? is what are you guys doing about the tires extending past the actually dually flare?doesnt it look silly with the tires wider than the truck?no to mention the added abuse the paint would take,thanks in advance

Do you tow or haul heavy loads? If so, your primary concern is the sidewalls of the larger tires touching each other (rubbing) under heavy loads. This can lead to tire failure.

i really dont tow an excesive amount 24' enclosed trailer with a race car,or a 20' pleasure boat,and would consider a small spacer if needed.ive seen some pics of duallys with flares but not in person so im iundecided if thats a route i would want to take

I had your exact truck and I think that your truck would look great with the Bushwacker fender flares front and rear. That would buy you about an extra 2" or fender flare. Also, if you purchase some of the 3M Mylar film and put that over the potential "impact" zones of yoru bumpers, it will protect them from whatever debris your tires throw up.

On the tire note, I am very bias toward the 22.5" setup. The 255/70 setup which can be run on a stock suspension 4x4 setup, is fantastic and what I have now. The rear tires coul be covered if the Megacab Duallies could run those rear flares; it's that close. When my suspension mods are done, I will be running the 295/75 setup which will protrude another 1.5" so I might have my rear flares remade into some custom rear flares.

i was considering the 22.5" steup,however the price is a bit out of my range,and i really dont want the decrease in mileage from the unsprung weight.thanks for the advice though.Do you have a link to any good pics with the flares?

I will have to check and see. My mileage went up about 2.5 mpg when I did the conversion and now that I have my performance mods, my mileage is up another 4mpg. The tires were probably the biggest MPG mod I have done. They are fantastci for highway use and don't do much tohurt cuty MPG.

these are 35X12.50r17 i have a 2 inch spacer in the back and no rubbing issues at all in the front , they do stick out about 2 1/2 " on each side but i dont mind it i think it looks tough, also it looks more like a 4 wheel drive. i cant stand the tires they put on these trucks stock, u think you pay that much for a truck they would put decent tires on it ya know.

that looks sick:o are those on the stock wheels?and is the 2" leveling kit all the is done suspension wise?any rubbing issues up front?

is there anyway possible that you could get me some more pics of your truck at a parrellel angle with the rear wheels and fenders?would be greatly appreciated before i drop a few g's on tires

i haven't had any issues with rubbing so far, all i have is a pro comp s 1/2 inch spacer in the front with bilstien shocks, they ride really smooth and they dont roar bad at all, the spacer in the back is 2 inch spacer from arrowcraft ( they are all steel to, no alluiminum)

do you think i could get away with 1" spacers in th erear instaed of the 2.5"?
