Dual CP3s

On a dual CP3s setup, what happens with the FCA valve on the additional CP3? How does that work? Or does the additional CP3 have a FCA valve at all? Do the dual CP3s that ATS and PPE have use Dodge or D-Max CP3s for the additional one? Are the ATS & PPE setups all using stock CP3s? If so, why? Are two modded units tooooooooo much? What about one modded unit?

both kits come with a d-max stock cp3, you can order the ppe kit with a dodge pump if you want but ppe recommends the d-max pump.

Do you know about the FCA valve?

I do believe that is an important and proprietary part of the kit....Matching the flow from the two different pumps by matching the FCA flow rates electronically. Stage one of all pump mods involves installing a modified FCA. This would upset the applecart of the hardware matching the pump flows. I'm sure John at Floor-It will have a dual pump kit soon with two of his pumps. You'd have to talk to either ATS or PPE to see if it will work provided the pumps are matched. ks

John did tell me he can do a kit with two modded pumps. I think this is the tip of the next performance iceberg,.... this could get interesting.

Which one of us is gonna find the limit of a stock cummins bottom end? We should start a pool for the first thrown rod.

Why is a D-Max pump recomended? I have a second CP3 that I keep as a spare, would it be possible to just get an installation kit, and use the pump I already have? I thought this may be cheaper than a modded pump, and definitely cheaper than a full blown twin pump kit.

Anybody know the diffirence between a D-max pump and a cummins pump?

Both cp3s have their fca's. Part of the kit has a controller that splits the signal from one output to 2. Last I heard if you had your own cp3 you could get about $750 off either ats or ppes kit. Tim

Internally nothing really is different. Externally the in and out ports are in different places. The Dmax pumps are cheaper though.
