Talking DTC CODE Help please!

I loaded the tnt program two days ago and after about a hour of driving or so i got a code and checked it with the smarty. It was a rail pressure code. Does anyone know why this happened? I was only on the sw7 level. Which seemed to have much more power than the revo software on sw9. Please any help would be great i would like to go back to the tnt program.

It is the RP level you have it set on... probably level 3 or 4, right? That increases your rail pressure quite a bit, chances are you got into it, RP went up high, you got out of it really quick and RP spiked above the sensor level tripping the code... clear the code, drop your RP level one and keep on truckin'. Hopefully you have not hurt the relief valve.

Are you stacking anything with smarty that does pressure too?

Just so we know what does the relief valve open at? And at what RP would you not want to run over for an extended period of time? I have recently stacked the Edge EZ with my Smarty and now i have as much RP as I want.

No nothing is stacked and i think i did have it on level three for the rail pressure, so should it be set on 1 or 2. It felt alot stronger with the sw7 on the tnt

If you had it on 3 then put it on 2 and you should have no more issues...

The RP relief valve IIRC is around 28-29k. I would not run over 26k momentarily (like only for 1/4 mile) And for continuous cruising, there is debate about this so no definitive answer. I would stay below 20k for cruising though... (I am actually between 14-15k cruising at 65mph)

P0148 is what I have got in the past. I have got it with the RP not even close to spiking high out of range. I was told it was something to do with tricking the ECM to increase rail pressure. It also happens when the rail is drained. The code is basically anything the computer does not like with RP and is out of some parameter.

It is harmless. Clear it and after time it should go away.
