Hey cquestad....for what its worth...... I got my bottom pump off yesterday and there was small bits of metal in my pump. I blew the plugs out of it and it only ran for a minute or so. So I would seriously get your top pump checked b4 putting it back on.

I have a new pump coming...

The more I think about it...the more nervous I get. I will send the old one to Floor It for inspection and report back.

You need to drop the tank and clean it I had one blow apart and only ran it less than one min there was a ton of metal in the tank. you also need to remmove all fuel lines as they will have metal in them 2.

There is nothing in the tank...because there was nothing wrong with the pump...when I isolated it from fuel...in or out.

But thanks anyways...

This was happened to me too..I have a Dmx pump on top and he kit is a evil twins, I was driving on I10 close to pyote when the top fuel line cracked, believe me I had no tools with me, I was pretty much screwed since it was far away from home..
But luckily some trucker barrowed me his tools so I could remove the line, but since those lines are custom bent u don't get em anywhere!! What I did is I plugged the rail with bending the line and at a local autozone found a oem size belt the next day and I was able to drive home again..how do you fix this? That line has cracked 3 times on me already..
