Donaldson 51" muffler- Where can I order one?

I did a search, but came up empty on a source. I would like to order one of these on the web and have it shipped to my house. I tried to order from several places that were supposed to have them but had no success. Is there a website I can order this muffler from? Also, does anyone know the correct part number? I know there was some disagreement over the part number. Thanks

M090544 is the number. My local muffler shop ordered it for me.

You can also plug in your address info and check off "exhaust" on the Donaldson "dealer locate" page here

Looks like there are 26 dealers in your state.

Thanks, I've called the local dealer and they said they only sell Donaldson for big rigs. I will keep trying.

It is a Donaldson for a big rig. Just give them the part number and they should have it or be able to order it in.

I did a search on dynamic.donaldson.com looking for a muffler with certain characteristics. I was looking for something that was about the same size as the stock muffler. I came up with part number M085421.

Exhaust Mufflers Product Attributes
A - Inlet Diameter (Inches): 4.00
B - Body Diameter (Inches): 8.50
C - Body Length (Inches): 34.37
D - Overall Length (Inches): 40
E - Outlet Diameter (Inches): 4.02
I - Inlet Tube Length (Inches): 2.50
L - Outlet Length (Inches): 2.09
Back Press LR (In Hg): 1212
Back Press MR (In Hg): 1714
Back Press HR (In Hg): 2099
Weight (Lbs): 21
Primary Application: FORD/NAVISTAR 7.3L
Primary Application 2: Power Stroke, GM/Isuzu 6.6L
Primary Application 3: Duramax, Dodge/Cummins 6BT 5.9

Has anyone got any experience with this one?

Ron

Hrmm, thats and interesting one also. I don't understand how those flow numbers compare the M090544??

B - Body Diameter (Inches): 9
D - Overall Length (Inches): 51
E - Outlet Diameter (Inches): 4
Rated Flow LR (CFM): 1158
Rated Flow MR (CFM): 1638
Rated Flow HR (CFM): 2006
Back Press LR (In Hg): 1
Back Press MR (In Hg): 2
Back Press HR (In Hg): 3

coolslice- Every Freightliner place I have ever checked either had Donaldson or could get 'em. I got my MO85171 at a local Freightliner dealer.

Shaft- Donaldson makes freeflowing, straight thru style mufflers that'll make your CTD sound like the big rig it wants to be, and the muffler will drop your EGT's as well. I also picked up about 1mpg w/ mine. -Steve

I bought the 51" Nelson 86131 at Cummins Northwest for $66.00. Straight thru no baffles, but very quiet on the inside and a nice deep roar on the outside.

I guess the guy was just putting me off at freightliner. He said that the muffler I wanted was a horizontal and they only sold verticle mufflers. I will call him back and get him to order me one. Thanks.

The Nelson application guide lists the 86161 for use on Mack, Navistar, Detroit, Cummins, and CAT turbocharged diesels to 460HP in single horizontal, single vertical or dual vertical configurations.

The Donaldson should be too.
