Do I really need an Air Dog?

Just before leaving on my Iraqi vacation I got the P0628 code and a dead truck. I beat the lift pump with a screwdriver handle, wiggled the wiring, and managed to drive it to the storage garage. Now it looks like I'll be headed home in the next month or so, and I know I'm going to have to get the lift pump fixed.
Here is where I hit my problem: Chrysler will do the in-tank system under warranty, but I know the Air Dog will flow more fuel. The only additional upgrades I'm thinking about are a Smarty Jr and an exhaust. Do I really need the Air Dog? Is the extra filtration worth it? Will the stock pump not deliver enough fuel for the Smarty JR? I mean, $500 and my install time for the Air Dog versus letting Chrysler fix it for free also means I can get the Smarty now instead of waiting. What do y'all think?

I have a walbro 392 for free as long as a service member is taking advantage of it. Just tell me where you want it sent!

I believe I would just bite the bullet and get the Air Dog. Your truck will run smoother, get better mileage, and its better for your cp3 and your injectors. I would just do it now and be done with it. They are on sale now too.

I haven't noticed my truck runs any smoother or gets any better mileage since the AD, fuel pressure is no problem though...
