Diablosport reads boost at idle?

My diablosport is showing that im running 14 psi at idle...which obviously is incorrect. It also reads high when stepping on it or just driving around, Is this a sign of a bad MAP sensor or is the predator readin in a different unit of measure and just saying psi? I do have analog gauges. Just kind of confusing.

04 2500 ram.

14 PSI is atmospheric pressure. To figure boost pressure subtract 14 from the number shown.

Thumbs up

Gentleman, Dan from DiabloSport here. Your answers regarding the boost pressure are accurate. The OEM level sensor includes barometric pressure into the reading you see on the screen. This is how a dealership with a factory scan tool would see it as well.

On the DiabloSport Trinity T1000 we have actually made a special PID called "Synthesized Boost" that takes the guess work out of your boost reading. We automatically monitor BARO and subtract that number from the Boost Pressure PID creating an accurate boost level that can be monitored on a gauge or recorded.

As for Predator this option is not available, but I highly recommend taking a look at the Trinity for your Cummins Truck because it makes huge Horsepower and will give you all the gauges that are near and dear to your heart!
