Diablo Predator U7131

I received my Diablo Predator U7131 the other day and I have to say this thing simply kicks ***! I also own a Triple Dog, SmartyCR, and FlashPaq and this new Predator is by far my favorite.

Besides the crazy power, the thing that impresses me the most is the fact that smoke is very manageable, even on the highest setting. Also, it seems to have a little more timing as the motor sounds a little different and my EGT's cooldown extremely fast now. Those two items alone should help me achieve my best MPG yet, if I can keep my right foot in check.

I also checked rail pressure of the Extreme RKL and Extreme RKL Stacker tunes, and they both yielded a max of approx. 23,500. This suprised me as those number are inline with stock pressure and I remember reading that the difference between the two tunes was pressure, guess not. The non stacker tune is more powerful though, as I can get two more psi out of my stock turbo with it.

Thanks!

I am waiting for my Diablo stack from Thorobred Diesel also, should be shipped this week.
I also had a smarty but returned it in the 30 day trial (after 2400 miles of testing) as there was to much smoke in most settings other than lowest. i tow all of the time, mostly 5000 lbs and 10% of the time 14,000 lb 5th whell.
How did the Diablo stack up to the smarty in the two lower tunes?? I am anxious to try it out, will leave my Zillerator for the boost function (in the off position)

Mega you have the SPORT,

the Puck is often refered to as a Predator since it was invented first.

I am looking into 'chipping' my '03 and was wondering about this module versus the Bully Dog and others. Any comments? In addition, what set of gauges do you recommend?

My idle surges too, You get use to it after a while. Harleyhauler, just get the diablo predator/puck combo. It's cheap and makes unreal power on 03's.

I haven't tried anything but the Extreme RKL tunes, but the extreme tunes don't smoke as bad as the SmartyCR does on the lowest setting. The excessive smoke of the SmartyCR is the only reason I even tried something else, and so far I'm glad I did.

I'm sure the lower tunes stack up we'll as the Extreme RKL tune feels as strong, if not stronger then the SmartyCR does on #9.

Yeah, I have the rough idle on all settings. Talked to diablosport tech support and they finally said fuel pressure was set too high at idle and he did not know when the next revision would be finished to correct the problem. I also have a surging problem has anyone else experienced that?

But, as far as horsepower is concerned

Blakedill, is your surging problem at WOT. Mine does it only on extreme stack with the puck on 90 HP. I thought maybe I was just draining the rail.

03rmk, I am running performance/no-stack setting. It's at about 2/3 throttle and I can watch the boost fluctuate 3-4 psi. Also, my boost gauge will tick when the truck is pulling hard, does the same thing with the quad so I am not concerned about the ticking gauge. However, when the boost is fluctuating the tick comes and goes and the motor smooths out. It will also smooth out at WOT.
