DDP injectors installed....Hmmm

Well, the truck fired up easier than it does on any given morning, and was about half as loud engine wise. I let the truck idle for a bit and then drove it home. The first thing I notice is that low end grunt is up by about 30% along with spool time. I'm a Supra guy at heart, and lag is not my friend...lol Once it was up to operating temp I gave it a kick in the butt. All I get is lots of boost, and some breaking up (popping etc). It appears that the truck ran better on the stock sticks, at least at these box settings. I then turn the EZ down to level 1, and the TST off. (I'm running CLDL alone) It runs almost exactly like it used to with the TST on 7/7! I'm now trying to find the happy settings with my combo's. I've turned the CLDL down from 230hp to 50hp with mediocre results, next I will take the CLDL out completely and go TST/EZ and see what happens. I'll keep you all posted.

Sounds promising! Let us know!! :)

Alright, I've got about 300miles of tuning, driving and beating on these injectors now and I've discovered the ultimate settings with my combo. For some reason, these injectors don't really get along with the TST. Even Pier's truck was dynoed with the TST on only 3/5. When it's really cold out, the truck doesn't like the TST at all. The warmer it gets, the more I can turn it up...weird. Anyway, it was about 60 yesterday, and the best setting was CLDL on 230hp, the TST on 2/5, the EZ doesn't make a noticeable difference, so I left it on 1. This is a VERY powerful setting, but for some reason doesn't make much over 40psi. If I turn the TST up to 8/5 I get alot of "breaking up" until about 2500RPM, then it takes off like a rocket w/boost levels over 50. So ultimate competition sledpulling will be done w/ TST on 8/5.
Overall, I'm very happy with them, like I said low end power is up considerably, and throttle response is too. Driveability is much smoother. It does put off an offensive amount of smoke though, but I LIKE it... Oh and for some reason the N20 doesn't make near the difference that it did with the stock injectors...Guess I'll try a bigger jet! :)

"guess I'll try a bigger jet"
Not up on my current no2 knowledge but that is what I would recomend.

I would suggest getting on a dyno and playing with the different settings. Sometimes seat of the pants meter isn't to accurate. Makes a guy wonder what piers had up his sleeve [whistle] .

I wonder if a timing only box could benefit us all............ [whistle]

I agree, I'd really like to see fully adjustable timing, w/o any other BS.
