I should have pics of a spare tire rack / tubular tailgate by this evening or tomorrow. I think I have all the suspension stuff done and ready to pull apart and send to the powdercoaters. Here's part of yesterday's work:

Truck's lookin great! You know, a nice bumper would finish that truck off nice!!! You need to check out Alien Patrol, Road Armour, TDK, and FabFour...they make some nice units for your truck.

Haha, my best fabricator had to quit a couple months ago, so I've been used to working 70 hrs/week lately..... Plus I've already signed up to be at the Texas Diesel Nationals in 11 days, so the truck has to be ready for the drive!!
hahahaha ouch! Thanks man - I should have the stuff back from the powdercoaters tomorrow or Wednesday. In the meantime, I may just try to build a bumper or two.... I might look a little ridiculous at the vendor area at the Nationals with no bumpers on it

I had a long day of finishing up little stuff. I did have time to build a transmission crossmember with a drop to accommodate the front driveshaft that was lowered with the indexing ring. The stuff should be back from the powdercoaters tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have some finished product pics soon!

It's actually dark, scarred up metal. It looks really good on the computer at the graphics place. It's really hard to tell in the picture I have though.

There is a local company that does that work. The results can be spooky. One nice touch on their show truck is they faded a picture of a built small block onto the hood so it looks translucent. Any opportunity for a "behind the scenes" look at a bumper with the wrap on the truck?
