couple of camander questions???

i bought a used camander some time ago and finaly got around to installing it,seemed pretty straight forward, questions are,,i am running a x2 race box and i conected it to the camander so i know i will only have 3 levels to choose from,i conected the boost wire from the camander to the wire on the factory boost conector not the one from the x2,is that corect to get the non fooled level?can the purple wire for the trans temp be used for engine oil temp?i have a stick so i dont need the trans temp,i also have the fuel presure kit but cant find any instructions on installing that on the site, thanx

You need to connect the boost lead to the boost wire on the Quadzilla harness. You want to read the fooled boost amount, otherwise you will not see what your turbo is producing with a disabled wastegate. I have an electronic version of the FP kit instructions. I will gladly send them to you if you PM me with an e-mail address.

If you are running the X2 box with the commander I believe Quad has an update for the commander so you can run the five levels instaed of the 3 levels the commander was originally designed to run.

Yes, the Commander will read RP. It will plug into the X2 harness at the rail pressure sensor. You might have to go into the set up menu and make sure it is turned on too. Also, the purple temp wire and sender will thread into one of the 1/8" NPT ports in the top of the engine oil filter head. I did the exact same thing to mine since I also have a stick. It works fine but you will have to lengthen the purple wire a little bit to reach over to the passenger side of the engine.

Correct....I forgot to add that. You will need the #CCSFPKIT fuel pressure harness kit for the Commander if you don't already have it. This allows the Commander to plug into the X2 rail pressure sensor harness and also includes a lift pump pressure sender and harness. If you do not have this kit, you will ne be able to read rail or LP pressures.

There is a temp sender included with the Commander for reading trans temp.....this sender can also be used for engine oil temp. If you don't have that you should call or email Quad to get that. Sounds like you might need to get the fuel pressure kit from them anyway.

The black and white wire from the Commander allow it to control only the top 3 power levels from the X2. Quad has just come out with a new harness adapter and Commander software update to allow it to control all power levels from the X2.

I hear you on the cross border shipping issues. Yes, you could very well get the temp sender locally but I do not know the resistance values it is intended to operate under. A call to Quad might clear that up. As to rail pressure, I thought the FP kit harness included the rail pressure lead but now I'm not 100% sure. I installed the X2, Commander and fuel pressure harness kit all at once so I could be wrong. I thought the kit was to allow the Commander to read both pressures.
