Correct ATF

Just an FYI regarding fluid selection. I was preparing to order some Redline for my Power steering and Transfer case. The specified fluid for auto's, power steering and transfer cases is ATF +4, that's old news.

I almost ordered Redline D4 ATF that is the wrong product. We need Redline C+ ATF. This is just a heads up to not accidentally order the wrong product.

I recently did my trans fluid/filter service , but used Mopar ATF +4. The shifting seems a little smoother, but close to the same. Let us know how the Redline works out! I would love to use synthetic.

I changed out all my other fluids with Redline before the last winter. I can't honestly say I noticed any difference. I live in a very cold climate and want the better cold flow characteristics, that's the real reason I run them. Commuting to work at -25 F I feel better that my axles, etc are getting the lube they need. Lots of people making the same rural commute and I'd bet they never even change out the old factory gunk in the lifetime of the vehicle. They still make it to work. That being said I think my odds of being straded beside the road on one of those cold mornings (when my vehicle racks up several hundred thousand miles) will be less. Those other vehicles will probably have been traded off long before then.
