Boy, I have been waiting for this!

I really want cool down based on EGT's, an automatic shut down after a period of time (for safety) and some other kind of safety kill switch (like it won't work without the parking brake applied). Everything else would be icing on the cake...

I'm running a BD timer that is working flawlessly... Its adjustable for EGT shutdown, backed by a timer, and finally a brake kill switch for safety. I'd say all of these needs need to be met

I have 2 bd cooldown timers, the 04 works perfect, the 06 is not. For some reason it wants to shut off the lp when soon after the key is turned off, and ends up running out of fuel.

BD hasnt quite figured out the 06s yet

I have been interested and asked the question before I bought the Quad stuff. I would like it too work on EGT's and must have safety kill feature.

Hey Quad, will this be user upgradable through the USB port or will the Commander have to be sent back in? Obviously USB upgrade would be way cool.

Well, it is a USB updatable item but, you will have to actually purchase the turbo timer itself and plug it in. The software for the Commander to run it will all be done via usb. The extra module is small like all of our modules and plugs into an existing port on the Commander wiring harness.

How long is a rope???

In all seriousness I do not give any expected dates any longer. Sometime stuff happens faster and sometimes it happens slower. It all depends on how we implement it and how it will all function.

The turbo timer itself works and is done (we did this on another product that is soon to be released but, not for 3rd gen guys). The main thing is making it all work smoothly in the menu system and implementing the features we choose to go with in the right way. Then of course we test and test and then we might beta a few?

Wished I had a better time frame but, it should not be too long.

I'm definitely interested in a EGT's safety kill feature.

By the way, what is a good shutdown temperature?
