Yep its working now. Wow! Your truck turned over really quick. Even in the 30's my truck seems to turn over really slow.

megacabdad 01-04-2009 08:31 PM

Dang, how is your truck so clean...[laugh]

Seriously, my truck starts noticeably better with Smarty, for whatever reason?

chrleb1 01-04-2009 08:33 PM

Yup, that is why my grid heater has been jutted.

The optima yellow tops help a bunch.

JP, thats exactly how mine starts even at 9*. I was up in the Tahoe area this past week and routinely started below 20* with no grid heaters or plug in.

Would turn over normal, fire up normal, just a little grumpy for 2-3sec then smoothed out just like yours.

Also being below 15* it high idles instantly...that helps alot.

How was the turbo at 7000ft???

Well I live in Tahoe and now I'm thinking of pulling out the grid.

matego 01-04-2009 11:50 PM

Mine does the same thing, sometimes worse. Usually just hit the high idle and it smooths right out. I try and keep it plugged in but not because of hard starting but I like heat in 2 min instead of 10.
