Clutch is gone what should replace it?

My stock clutch finally went out and now im looking for an aftermarket to replace it..... truck is a 05 6 speed which pulls a pretty fair amount so i need a good one for towing. this truck only has edge ez so no worry about power but may get a smarty in the future. please give me some good ideas on a inexpensive but still reliable clutch.

Southbend Clutch Con OFE or DD3250 for a little more $$$. The OFE would tow great with what you have and hold quite abit more. Give Peter at SBC a buzz or PM SouthBendClutch here on the forums.

I like my 3250 DD. I've only had it installed for about 2 or 3 months but the pedal pressure feels the same as stock and I can't slip it even with my foot in it.

I really like mine. It holds the power great and the pedal feels the same as stock. But, I’m not going to lie to you….it is louder than stock. But it’s only really noticeable when the truck is at idle and out of gear. Once you depress the clutch pedal, put it in gear and are driving….sounds no different than stock. IMHO…the sound is well worth the performance of the clutch.

Cool thanks for the info. I have been leaning towards this clutch for a while but i was waiting for mine to go. I got 228xxxkm on the stock one with my mods since 66xxxkm and it has only slipped bad a couple times and has held all of the abuse i can put to it. So im sure it needs one.

I've got about 104,000 miles on mine and it only started slipping when I put my TST up to about 6/6 and even then it was only when I really put my foot in it. But, when I decided to put the new turbo in I knew I had to do it. I drove the truck with the new turbo and the stock cluctch in it for about 1 month....boy was it easy to slip the clutch then.
