Clutch

Which clutches require heavy duty master cylinders?

Tree DR 07-06-2007 06:26 AM

I guess no one has or knows of one then.

Larger dual disk clutches will require an upgrades master slave combo

I got the OFE and it required the upgraded hydraulics according to South Bend.

That's wierd, I have never heard of people putting the south bend singles in with the upgrade unless they wanted it. I didn't get one with my FE. But I do have it now, as mine was replaced with it when we thought my stocker died.

Never heard that before... Is that a G56 setup thing??

Tree DR 07-06-2007 04:34 PM

Yes it's a G56 set up. The previous owner put it in but can't remember which one it was. He was in Washington state and ordered it from Chicago maybe? He said they had to up grade the slave cylinder because of the clutch. Just trying to get a idea of what might be in there. Sounds like it's probably a good one.

Ok I finally got it out of the previous owner, he found his receipt for it. It's a southbend single disk, he had the fly wheel replaced also. What hp is that clutch good to? 400-500hp?

just about any clutch you buy when you have the G56 you will need the hydro upgrade for.
