"Chrome" bug deflector
Hey guys, trying to find a source for the Mopar chrome finish bug deflector for my rig. Any ideas other than Geno's? I found it on Dodgeparts.com for $75 but that site is having probs, can't get the pages to open from main page. Anywhere else? TIA-Steve

SUMMIT RACING IS THE COUNTRIES LARGEST MOPAR PARTS DEALER. I GOT A STAINLESS STEEL BUG DEFLECTOR [ALL TREE PARTS] FROM THERE.

No Drilling or anything required.....all you do is use the plastic push type rivets to hold it on! 5 If I remember

Mine came with the chrome bug deflector and the only thing I don't like is that it doesn't turn up in the rear. So it really doesn't help much at all. I tried to pull my plastic rivets out so I could reposition it a little more straight up but I couldn't seem to get them out without feeling like I was about to break something. They should just call it a chrome grill-top cover because it doesn't deflect many bugs!
I looks pretty good though..;) |
I bought a smoke colored deflector and installed it behind the chrome one, the smoke one actually works.

That's not a bad idea Bradley....

My sons truck has all three stainless pieces. One word of caution, some of the edges are not dressed properly and can be like a razor. Check them good before someone gets cut.

bug shield
Can i put a newer style chrome bug shield on a 2nd generation Dodge?

I sure that with a drill, some duct tape and some liquid nails you could make it work.[eyecrazy]
