Cool check out what Dr. Frankinstein and I have done (MPI Twins) and (Opie's Bypass)w/pics

talk about a long fun last couple weeks so i thought i would share it with all you guys.

this is how it all started

we started installing the twins first.

but like everything you do the first time you have to do it the hard way. the bypass would have been easier to put on before the top turbo so you have good access to the plug that has to come out of the head. just be sure that you do not install Opie's regulator before the top turbo be cause that can be some clearance issues. but i will advise to go ahead and put the fitting in the head.

after installing the fitting into the head you can put the top turbo on and then place the regulator where it will need to go.

once all this was inplace it was time to start stuffing the cold pipe in the a/c lines are alot stronger than they look.

and then the finished product with the brand new HTT intercooler installed and everything back together it looked like this

now it is time to start testing this bad boy the break in is over. we are going to fine tune this week and take the (Old Farm Truck) to Fawl Brawl in PA

Nice. Sorry, I don't wanna sound stupid, but what is the Opies bypass? Is it a coolant bypass?

yes it is. it controls the water pressure in the head so you dont blow a freeze plug in the head.

yes we had them made at a local fluid power. we thought the ss braided looked better than the blue hose that came with it
