Cheap tranny temp sender adapter
Cheap tranny temp sender adapter
When I ordered my gauges it came with a sender and not an adapter. Of course the sender is too long to fit into the transmission port on the side so what to do. I looked on the website I bought my gauges from and they wanted $15 for the adapter. No thanks I can build my own. So this is what I did.
Go to your local hardware and buy (2) 3/8" male X 1/8" female pipe bushings, (1) 3/8" female pipe coupling, and (1) 1/8" nipple. When putting them together leave at least 2 threads on the end without teflon tape. This will prevent it from fraying and getting into the transmission. This cost me $6.61 with tax and took less than 10 minutes.

On the second post, with the homade adaptor, what port did you use, on the drivers side towards the rear like I described, or on the passenger side? Is the port you used hot fluid going to the cooler?
