Talking is changing programmers safe?????

i read in an old post that there were some issues when running diferent programmers,i know to set it back to stock first but can there be problems later on?i have a predator and i recently got a powerpup in a package deal with a chip.i want to try the high idle that the pup is suposed to do.but i dont want to screw anything up in my ecm.anyone have any luck trying diferent programmers???

The only thing that caused the problem in the past was an old tsb brazilian tsb that bullydog got ahold of not sure what update version it was and when you went to upload the stock tune back in it was installing brazilian software that other tuners used afterward would not recognize such as smarty being the main one I heard of having this problem due to the bad tune from bullydog but all is better now and these tuners out now seem to go back and forth well.

I went from the power pup to the diablo with no problems but I also have heard of some issues with the brazilian software.
