centramatic question/problem???
put on my centramatics a little while ago ( i have the correct ones) i am running h2 rims and have dyna trac lock out hubs on the front. the fronts went on-here is my first question- the centramatic is right up against the back of the rim- i thought i was actually going to crush the beaded part (round part) of the centramatic when i tightened the lugs-appears to be fine- also seems like it is just touching the brake caliper too- am i ok??
second question- on the back- i had to put the centramatics on backwards! putting them on the other way- i did not feel comfortable with the lack of wheel stud showing, plus i think i would definitely have crushed them if i tightened the rim down. i have heard of anything like this from other centramatic owners. |
I have a set of Centramatics that I have not installed yet. The instructions that came with them states that all 4 are not alike. There are two different pairs for the front and back, use the pair that works best on the front axle and they can be used facing in or out. I am also going to use them with H2's so I am curious to other replies.

I have only installed them on my truck so not sure about all your combinations , for the front , they have spacers that are needed in almost every case , then its common to have to take a grander / file , what ever and get rid of high spots on caliper / casting seems , extra , on the rears , there is no backwards , they can go on either way that makes them fit , but do not crush / dent the tube , if you have wheels that are an issue , then you just need more spacers or something , the manufactures can not anticipate every combination of stuff we do , ask your supplier also .

-did come with spacers- found them in the bottom of the box! i put them on the front- still seems tight- but does not appear to be touching the caliper.going to take the truck out and see how they are. thanks for the help.
