CAT as only muffling effect anyone?
Was wondering how many have tried, or are currently running their 600 with just the catalytic convertor with no muffler. If you have, what was your thoughts of the sound produced. Before i crawl under and tackle it, figured id get some opinions first.
Thanks

That's what I did... cut out the muffler and installed a stright pipe to fill up the gap behind the CAT. I like the sound... has a nice tone to it and really speaks up a lot better then it did stock.

I did it to mine, I think it sounds sweet. Might be a little loud for some folks though. With a load on it and running 70, is pretty loud, don't know if I would want to listen to it all day.

We have done this several times now where we install an Aeroturbine ontot he cat and use an off-set pipe to replace the muffler. The off-set pipe really helps to make things fit nicely and make up for the off-set of the stock muffler. The Aeroturbine may help quiet the exhaust a little and we have not done one without an Aeroturbine, but the ones we have done, sound really great and are not too loud.
